Here is a list of my favourite workouts that I have done!
I loved 21 Day fix.
I did the 21 day Fix right when it came out last summer. I did 3 rounds and got down to my pre-baby weight (well pre-baby #2). The containers are awesome and really help organize your foods and help with the portion control. I found out I was eating way too many carbs and not enough proteins. The workouts are 30 minutes which is key for me. And boy did they work all the muscles! I was so sore the first week. I loved it! My favourite workout in the series is the Dirty 30!
One thing that I really respected in the 21 Day Fix was the modifier. She was a full figured woman who really showed how to modify the exercises well. I really liked that the modifier was full figured rather than someone who was ripped and was just taking the movement easy. At the time I was doing this workout I was post baby and was not at an ideal weight. I liked seeing Kat, the modifier, every day doing her best. She really kept me going throughout. By the end of the first week I wasn't needing to modify as much but I still looked to Kat when I was getting tired.
I have also done 21 Day Fix Extreme. Again the workouts are 30 minutes but this time they are a bit more complex, with lots of lunges and combination moves. It is a great follow up to the 21 Day Fix.
I have also really enjoyed Les Mills Combat. The trainers Rach and Dan are so engaging and they make the workouts so much fun. The music is awesome and I would often be singing along while working out. Since I love short workouts, there are several that are 30 minutes and a couple that are 45 and under. These workouts are so much tun and really target all muscles of the body! I did this workout right before I became pregnant with my second child. I plan on doing this workout again in the fall.
This is the workout I am currently doing. I love CIZE! And by no means am I a dancer. I am a soccer player!!!! These workouts are the most fun cardio I have done in a long time. Shaun T is probably the best instructor I have seen in the Beachbody workouts. He is so engaging, hilarious and makes you want to "dig deep" in all his workouts. He is most known for Insanity or Asylum (which aren't my favourites) but he gives it in these dance workouts. He is a dance choreographer and puts together dances that are fun and challenging at the same time. If I can put it together and dance it out anyone can!
